Moneith, 31, was found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver, Canada, last July from a drug overdose.
Monteith began working with Lea in 2009, when they were cast as love interests on the hit Fox show. The began dating in 2012 and were in a steady relationship for nearly 18 months.
After his death, Lea struggled and lost a significant amount of weight. But she’s found the strength to pull through the crisis and looked fit and healthy at the Awards program.
She was tapped to be one of the presenters along with Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons and Andy Samberg.
Sandra Bullock, who starred in “Gravity,” and Jennifer Lawrence, who starred in “American Hustle” were leading the nominations among the acting categories, while Katy Perry and Taylor Swift were both up for favorite female singer and favorite song.
The Kids’ Choice awards are largely a popularity contest, hosted by Nickelodeon. The event was held at USC Galen Center in Los Angeles.
