“My boobs shrank. No one tells you that when you lose weight. No bra, no problem!” she said in a new interview.
Indeed, TheImproper reported exclusively in April that Shailene had trouble filling out her dramatic low-cut gown during the Madrid premiere of her new movie “Divergent.”
Her eye-catching gown by Donna Karan Atelier was definitely flattering. But someone should have told her there is no shame in wearing a push-up bra to create a little cleavage.
As it was, she looked like she was wearing her big sister’s prom dress. Even, so she was radiant, and nothing is wrong about being small up top.
She told InStyle magazine that she’s gotten over being “mean” to herself about her body image.
“I’m in a place where I feel healthier than I’ve ever been, and my body is exactly where it wants to be,” she says. “I feel like I’m a woman.”
In her new movie, “The Fault In Our Stars,” she had to lose weight and cut her hair to play, Hazel, a sixteen-year-old cancer patient. She’s forced to attend a support group where she meets an ex-basketball player and amputee.
“I look at pictures of me with long hair and I think, ‘Who is that person?’” she told the magazine. “Even my voice and the way I hold myself has changed.”
She says playing a cancer patient has helped her put her life in perspective. “I realized I was good at being outwardly positive because that’s how I am by nature. But internally, I was so mean to myself,” she reveals.
“Realizing I needed to make a shift was a big moment for me. ‘F–k you insecurity. F–k you lack of confidence!’” she explains.
