Will Julianne Moore’s President Coin Hurt Hillary Clinton in 2016? (video!)

Julianne Moore plays a tough, resolute leader in Hunger Games, Mockingjay Part 1. Is she modeled after Hillary Clinton?

Julianne Moore immediately got that the Hunger Games movies are political. Could her character, President Coin, become a metaphor for Hillary Clinton, if she runs for President in 2016?

Ironically, Moore portrayed another female pol, right-wing conservative Sarah Palin, in the award winning HBO movie “Game Change.”

Her portrayal of Palin was devastating.

Moore’s character in “Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1,” is resolute, power-hungry and ruthless. She is Katniss Everdeen’s (Jennifer Lawrence) arch enemy.

The political overtones are unmistakable in the books and film, as Moore noted in a new featurette released today by Lionsgate.

“I was very impressed with the books. They’re, you know, political,” she says. “There a kind of a political tract with adolescent overtones.

“In larger scope, it’s really about what is our political system? How did we arrive at it? And who are we in it?” she explains.

Hillary’s political opponents claim she’s cold, calculating and polarizing. Will she be labeled a President Coin?
