Robert Pattinson and Sarah Gadon exhibited what can only be described as a special chemistry at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of their movie “Maps to the Stars.” He was at her side most of the night.
Rob, who just turned 28, and Sarah, 27, certainly have a lot of on-screen history together.
Their chemistry is the kind that comes from a long friendship or a strong mutual attraction.
“Maps to the Stars” is their second picture together under the direction of David Cronenberg. They previously appeared in Cronenberg’s 2012 film “Cosmopolis.”
Pattinson was thrilled to work with Cronenberg on the drama thriller and considers the director an informal mentor. When Cronenberg was tapped to film “Maps to the Stars,” Rob and Sarah were his first choices for the film.
Gadon, a Canadian native, also starred in Cronenberg’s 2011 film “A Dangerous Method” about the relationship between 19th century psychoanalysis pioneers Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud.
Gadon is single at the moment and so is Rob. Rob looks totally at ease around her and she seems enamored with him.
He says he likes women who get him, and Sarah seems to understand him pretty well.
