Beth Spangler was undeniably the most powerful singer on “The Voice” last night (Oct. 6), blowing away Beyonce’s song, “Best Thing I Never Had” and catching Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams sitting on their hands.

But Blake Shelton and Adam Levine both quickly swung into action on the singer.

Blake was the first to make a move, followed quickly by Adam. Gwen and Pharrell only turned their chairs at the tail-end of the performance.

Blake could be heard shouting, “You’ve got to turn your chair sooner” to his coaching colleagues.

Although Parrell and Gwen were late to the show, they were effusive in their praise afterward.

“I think everyone should be standing up for this performance,” said Pharrell.

Stefani called the performance “so beautiful,” and praised Spangler’s “range.” Then, why wait so late to buzz in?

The coaches were down to the final picks to fill out their teams, so they naturally were being more selective.Which also explains why Adam was on her like a laser.

He only had one spot on his team and “that’s going to be you,” he said.

Blake also had an edge for punching in so early. “I fell in love with your voice instantly… You were meant to be on Team Blake. I promise you that’s the right decision,” he said.
