Stewart, however, smartly covered up underneath by wearing a nude-colored strapless bodysuit that only gave the illusion of bareness.
Wait isn’t that Gauche? If you’re going with sheer, seems like you should go all the way.
The former “Twilight” actress bypassed her usual designers, Chanel and Balenciaga. Instead she opted for a J Mendel micro-mini creation that showed off her legs.
The sheer fabric was overlayed with woven red, black, and aqua yarn in an asymmetrical patchwork design. She accessorized with black Christian Louboutin heels.
The usually straight-faced actress actually smiled on the red carpet and laughed heartily with co-star Peyman Moaadi at one point as photographers snapped away.
In the movie, Stewart plays an even more straight-laced army private who is sent to a Guantanamo Bay detention facility that holds suspected terrorists.
She learns quickly that geo-politics is a nasty business.
The inmates can’t be called prisoners because that would convey to them rights under the Geneva Convention. Instead they are considered “detainees,” although some have been held there for more than six years.
Moaadi plays and Islamist who befriends Stewart’s character, Amy Cole, and they begin to develop a relationship. It brings all the glaring contradictions of the war on terror into focus.
The studio also released a new trailer, which IM published yesterday, a day ahead of most other entertainment sites. Check it out here.
