Grande 21, won for Best Female Artist and Best Song, “Problem” featuring Iggy Azalea. She also won an MTV Video Music Award in America earlier this year for best pop video.
In all, she was nominated for six awards at the EMAs and also kicked off the show at the Hydro Arena in Glasgow. She wore a sexy, but not over the top silver leotard with a safety belt around her waist and thigh-high boots.
Grande popped on stage amid clouds of mist. The safety belt came in handy when she climbed in a chair for a soaring ride across the arena to a second stage where she segued into another of her hits “Break Free.”
Her four-octave soprano voice soared along with her.
On the red carpet, she wore an ultra-revealing cutout dress. To pull it off, she had to go without bra and panties and told reporters on the red carpet she felt naked.
But the look was stunning and Grande seemed natural and jovial despite all the pressure of opening the show. Overall, she was sexier that Taylor Swift but not in-your-face sexual like Rihanna and Miley Cyrus.
