Kevin Spacy’s “House of Cards” and the women’s prison drama “Orange is the New Black” put Netflix on the map at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s unveiling of nominations for Golden Globes this morning in Hollywood.

Beside nominations for the shows, actors Robin Wright, Taylor Schilling and Uzo Aduba also captured spots in the list of nominations.

Online television got another boost from Amazon’s breakout hit “Transparent.” It was nominated for Best TV Comedy Series and Best Actor in a Comedy for the show’s lead Jeffrey Tambor.

Among other nominees from non-traditional network television were FX’s new show, “Fargo,” for Best TV Show, Miniseries or Move. Colin Hanks, Martin Freeman and Billy Bod Thorton also got nods.

In cable, HBO’s “True Detective” and its stars, Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey also made the list.

Apparently no one watches traditional television anymore, at least not at the HFPA. Perennial award winning shows like “Modern Family,” Parks & Recreation” and “The Big Bang Theory” were shut out this year. Even their stars were AWOL.

Big Bang’s Jim Parsons, P&R’s Amy Poehler and even Sofia Vergara from Modern Family were left off the list.

Tina Fey and Poehler will return as hosts of the awards ceremony, which will air on Jan. 11. Hopefully, Amy won’t take the snub personally, but expect her to riff on it during the show.
