Rihanna looked like she was packing a few extra pounds at the iHeart Radio Awards show last night, after a near two-year hiatus from music, but she wasn’t far off her game with a punchy performance of her new song “Bitch Better Have My Money.”

She appeared itching to get back to work.

She’s dropped hints that another album is on the way and even feigned a surprise release last week. “Bitch Better Have My Money,” is the second single off the, as yet untitled, set.

The Barbadian singer released it March 26. It was produced by Deputy and co-produced by Kanye West, with additional rework by Travis Scott and Wonda Girl, according to Rolling Stone.

Her first single, “FourFiveSeconds,” is a collaboration with Paul McCartney and West. The two songs couldn’t be more different. “Bitch” is a hard-driving dance track compared with the soft acoustic ballad she crafted with the ex-Beatle.

The iHeart show at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles was the first time she performed “Bitch” live. She made a big entrance in a faux helicopter wearing a tiny LBD and a huge furry green coat and green hip boots.

She wore oversized, emerald green sun glasses that she tossed off during her performance. But Rihanna kept her stage movement to a minimum.

The album is a question mark and so are her tour plans, although some reports say she will accompany West on at least part of his tour later this year.

Rihanna was last on the road in 2013 for her Diamonds World Tour, although she did appear briefly with Eminem last August on his month-long The Monster Tour.

The 27-year-old singer was one of the hardest working pop stars in music. She cranked out seven albums in almost seven years, starting with Music of the Sun in 2005.

She followed that up with A Girl like Me (2006), Good Girl Gone Bad (2007), Rated R (2009), Loud (2010), Talk That Talk (2011) and Unapologetic.

The feat is almost unprecedented for a female performer. Along the way, she won 18 Grammy awards. Her string of albums ended in 2012 with the release of Unapologetic, her seventh studio album. Four have gone platinum.

Check out a video of her performance and photos from the show. In some photos she almost looks preggers. But you didn’t read that here.
