Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea use their best valleyspeak in Spears’ new “Pretty Girls” video. They pay homage to the 1980s with big hair, lots of curls, skimpy clothes and all night partying. The tune is a pure pop confection with a slight urban edge.

Iggy plays a space alien who drops in on Brit while she’s doing her nails by the swimming pool.

She strips off Iggy’s space suit and gives her beehive hairdo a make over.

Then she pulls some clothes out of her closet to dress her up. Where Spears gets clothes to fit the 5-foot, 10-inch tall rapper is left to the imagination. Spears is at least six inches shorter.

In any event, the girls are ready to party and the tune provides a steady dance beat to get things going. Brit’s cotton-candy voice is punctuated by Iggy’s throaty rap. Iggy name drops of course, and samples her song hit song “Fancy.”

Shield your eyes. Iggy has superpowers. She transforms a clunky ’80s cell phone into a sleek new Apple iPhone. Hello, product placement. She can also empty an ATM with one touch.

The tune is frothy pop, and the girls get right into the moment. Spears, 33, looks fabulous and does some energetic dancing that recalls her early career. They meet up with friends, hit the clubs and toy with the boys.

Iggy gets a directing credit along with Cameron Duddy. The song premiered earlier this month.
