jared-padaleckiSupernatural” hottie Jared Padalecki is doing well after taking a month off from work following an apparent nervous breakdown that caused him to cancel his appearance at a fan convention in Italy in May.

Padalecki, who previously revealed he suffers from clinical depression, said he needed some time off to relax and unwind, and is now healthy and well.

Jared, 32, said exhaustion and overwork had caused him to “push himself to his limits.”

“You find out you’re finite,” Padalecki told Us June 10. “And for a guy like me who’s really Type A, it’s difficult to admit you’re a finite individual, right? But it was humbling, and I’m very proud I got to do it.”

Jared, a child actor who starred on the TV series The Gilmore Girls from 2000 to 2005, now realizes he needs to unplug and get away from work from time to time in order to stay healthy emotionally and psychologically.

“I was 17 years old when I moved to Los Angeles, and I just kind of got into a habit,” said Padalecki. “Everything was like: Work, work, work, work. Do, do, do, do.”

Jared added: “I have a wife. I have two sons, [Shepherd and Thomas], so I really needed a chance to just unplug. And it was the best thing I’ve ever done. I’ll probably do it every year.”

Jared has suffered episodes of depression in the past. Padalecki broke down emotionally on the set of Supernatural during season 3, and was diagnosed with clinical depression.

Production on the hit TV show was shut down for five days so Jared could recover.

Jared, who was 25 at the time, said he learned you can become depressed even if you’re (like him) rich, famous, have great friends, a loving family, millions of adoring fans and a thriving career.

“It’s not just people who can’t find a job or can’t fit in in society that struggle with depression,” said Padalecki.

Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles have starred on ‘Supernatural’ for 10 seasons.

Fortunately, Jared has received a lot of support from his co-star and close friend, Jensen Ackles (“Dean Winchester”).

Fans have also been incredibly supportive of Jared, for which he is so grateful. “I am consistently awed by our fans,” said Padalecki. “Bearing your struggles alone, I don’t think we’ll get very far.

“Supernatural” recently aired its 10th season. Season 11 will premiere sometime this fall.
