Justin Bieber, looking to jump start his career, jump into action at the Las Vegas “Electric Daisy Carnival” this weekend with a surprise appearance and performance at Drai’s Beach Club. Revelers were caught by surprise and quickly whipped out their phone cameras.

Bieber, 21, sang two songs for the crowd, estimated at around 3,000 revelers and danced on stage to others.

He performed his new track “Where Are U Now.” The song is the second single off the Skrillex and Diplo debut album Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü. Bieber originally recorded the track as a stripped piano ballad.

Bieber was also spotted hanging out with “Orange is the New Black” star Ruby Rose. They were partying at the Encore Beach Club at the Wynn Las Vegas on Saturday and posed for photos, according to People.

The former teen sensation hasn’t released an album in three years. His last release was Believe in June 2012. It debuted at No. 1 on album charts. He released a remix album Believe Acoustic in 2013.

Since then, the singer has been best known for his extended breakup with Selena Gomez and a string of incidents involving loutish behavior. He’s since apologized for acting out and has promised to make amends.
