One Direction stormed Central Park in New York City this morning (Aug. 4) for an open air concert. The boys sang their new song “Drag Me Down” before throngs of screaming fans as part of ABC’s “Good Morning America” Summer Concert Series.

The singing group, now a quartet with the departure of Zayne Malik, also sang other hit songs, including “Story of My Life,” one of their biggest singles to date.

Their latest song, however, is rocking the digital charts. The boys, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Thomlinson, surprised fans by releasing the track July 31 on the music streaming service Spotify and iTunes.

The song quickly became the most streamed tune on Spotify. The music site said it was streamed nearly 5 million times globally the day of its release. The previous record, 4.26 million streams, was held by Wiz Khalifa for his song, “See You Again.”

“Drag Me Down” is the lead single off One Direction’s upcoming fifth studio album. The boys have been putting on shows as part of their “On The Road Again Tour.”
