All five shows were sold out, setting a new record for the venue and demonstrating Swift’s near universal appeal.
She’s currently performing on her 1989 World Tour, and bringing out surprise guests was her way of thanking fans.
Gomez appeared on stage first wearing a sexy black outfit with thigh-high boots. She sang her latest singel “Good For You” in her first live performance of the tune. Swift joined in.
Swift gave her a rousing welcome.
“The person about to come out onto the stage is a multi-talented performer who’s good at pretty much everything that she does,” she said.
“She is beautiful and funny and sweet and talented and intelligent and one of my best friends.”
Timberlake followed and performed a duet with Swift of his 2013 song “Mirrors.”
In a touching move, Timberlake dropped to his knees and bowed to Swift and the fans.
“This has been so hard to keep a secret. You have no idea.” Swift gushed.
“He’s been a great friend to me, and will be remembered as one of the greatest musicians of our generation.” she added. “Justin hasn’t performed since he became a dad, so I’m just honored that this is his first performance.”
