Kristen Stewart leads a pack of Hollywood A-listers and international models who tout the “modernity” and “classicism” of Chanel’s “Mademoiselle Privé” collection in a new video featuring Karl Lagerfeld’s photography.

Stewart, 24, who has never had a gift for words, does her best to describe Lagerfeld’s creative genius.

“I’m sure that as an artist Karl works instinctively and compulsively in the same way that he does in all of his mediums, but really as a photographer, there’s such a naturalism,” she says.

But to say “naturalism” exists in his fashion photography shows a misunderstanding of the word, or his work, possibly both.

Like most fashion photographers, Lagerfeld carefully stages and highly stylizes his work. What she probably meant to say is he’s a “natural” at what he does.

Be that as it may, Stewart still fits right into the milieu.

She looks totally Euro chic with her asymmetrical haircut in a way Kate Gosselin could never pull off when she had the same do.

Wearing dark alluring eyeliner and mascara, Kristen more than holds her own against the other international beauties.

The video includes french model, actress and singer Vanessa Paradis, who looks the coolest and most at ease. She speaks French in a seductively raspy voice, honed, no doubt, by chain-smoking Gauloises.

Stewart’s “Still Alice” co-star Julianne Moore is the one who tosses out $2 words, calling the jewelry pieces a blend of “modernity” and “classicism.” The latter term typically refers to ancient Greek and Roman literature and art.

It’s doubtful that’s really what she meant, since most of the designs are reflective of the 1930s, not 30 BC.

The word “modernity” usually refers to the Modern Era in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, characterized by artists such as Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Gauguin and Marc Chagall.

But as the French might exclaim: Qui peut dire?

Too-thin 16-year-old teen Lily Rose Depp, Vanessa’s daughter with actor Johnny Depp, smartly keeps her bit simple and to-the-point.

“What’s so incredible shooting with Karl is he really knows how to bring out the best in someone, which then brings out the best in the clothes,” she says.

Also appearing in the video are British actress Keira Knightley and British blue blood Stella Tennant, granddaughter of 11th Duke of Devonshire.

Known in social circles as one of the “Mitford sisters,” Stella’s a statuesque 5’11” tall professional model.

Lagerfeld photographed the women wearing the brand’s Bijoux de Diamants collection. The images will go on display at London’s Saatchi Gallery next month (Oct. 13) through Nov. 13.

The exhibit is being billed as “a journey through the origins of Chanel’s creations capturing the charismatic personality and irreverent spirit of Mademoiselle Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld,” according to a statement.

In all likelihood the presentations weren’t scripted. Maybe next time they should be, or at least vetted by an English or Art History major.
