“Game of Thrones,” the hit HBO fantasy drama, will get even bloodier, naughtier and even more violent in the upcoming season, if that’s at all possible. Last season pushed the boundaries, but you ain’t seen nothin’ yet, says series star Liam Cunningham.

Cunningham, 54, plays Ser Davos Seaworth, also known as the Onion Knight. He’s a former smuggler who has sworn allegiance to Stannis Baratheon, Lord of Dragonstone.

In a new interview, Cunningham says Season 6 will be loaded with more sex and violence. The show finished shooting in December in and around Dublin, Ireland.

“I’ve seen a bit of it and it’s looking really good. It’s bigger, badder, bolder and naughtier. It’s probably more violent, so there will be magnificent drama,” he said.

How more violence is possible is anyone’s guess. Last season Stannis’ only daughter, Princess Shireen, was burned alive as a sacrifice insure his victory against the Boltons at Winterfel.

Although she was shown on fire, her blood-curdling screams touched off an uproar. Jon Snow was assassinated by his own men in another graphic bloody scene. And, the Wildings fought a bloody battle with the White Walkers.

One thing is certain, no character is safe. The show has a well-earned reputation for killing off major characters in shocking twists. So far, teasers for the upcoming season put everyone in play.

The show released a new poster today (Feb. 24) showing characters in the Hall Of Faces inside the House of Black and White. The hall includes major characters both living in dead, suggesting some, or all may, meet their fate.

Among them is Jon Snow, played by Kitt Harington. Although thought dead at the end of last season, it’s become an open secret now that he returns–somehow–alive in Season 6.

Harington has been spotted on set during filming.

Cunningham says his own character, who has been a major player since the second season, will also go through some “very different” scenes. He declined to elaborate.

Emilia Clarke’s character, Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen, is also facing an uncertain fate. At the end of Season 5 she had been captured by the Dothraki, the fierce horsemen of Essos.

Other faces on the wall include Tyrion Lannister, his brother Jamie Lannister, their sister, Cersei Lannister, Arya Stark and sister Sansa Stark. As of last season, all were alive.

“Game Of Thrones” will return to HBO April 24.
