Duke Student's 'Fu*k List Sparks Univ. Sex Scandal (video) 1Duke University student Karen Owen has ignited another university sex scandal by outing fellow classmates sexual tendencies, only days after a student at another school committed suicide after roommates posted his homosexual romp online.

Owen, who apparently likes to sleep around, created an elaborate sex list ranking the college men she bedded and posted it online.

While it was meant to be a tongue in cheek (no pun intended) thesis on sex with Duke athletes, meant for friends, it circulated all over campus and has gone viral on the Internet.

“It’s funny because we know the people on it,” one Duke University student told NBC for a TODAY report on Owen’s now-infamous sex list. The show did a seven minute report on the scandal more time than it devotes to reports on world events.

The university, however, isn’t treating it as a laughing matter.

It issued a statement saying it was “reaching out to those who’ve been affected by this incident,” and athletes on the list are less than thrilled, some reportedly regarding the report as harassment.

Owen zeroed in on the 13 men she slept with, almost all from Duke’s lacrosse team, which suffered its own sex scandal in 2006

She created a bar graph ranking their sexual prowess and built a 42-slide PowerPoint presentation, detailing sex in the university library during finals week, sex in cars and, most of all, sex while inebriated.

“In my blackout state, still managed to crawl into bed with a Duke athlete,” Owen commented on one escapade.

Since her work has gone viral, Owen has turned contrite. “I regret it with all my heart,” she told the Jezebel.com website. “I would never intentionally hurt the people that are mentioned on that.”

During the 2006 lacrosse scandal, a stripper hired for a team party accused three team members of sexually assaulting her. While the charges were dropped, the infamy remains.

Now it looks like Owen may get her just due — a book contract.

In this day and age, the most notorious sex scandals usually lead to reality television shows, book deals and celebrity.

Just ask Kim Kardashian.
