Kristen Stewart fiddles with the buttons on her blouse, popping them open one-by-one to reveal her bra-less chest in new ads for Chanel’s “Paris in Rome” 2015/16 Métier d’Art campaign. The languid, narcissistic scenes are shot in a classic ’30s film noir style.

Chanel’s fashion director and chief designer Karl Lagerfeld works all the angles in the two black-and-white spots, which run about 30 seconds each.

The concept is “less is more.” And that’s just about what you get.

Kristen really doesn’t have to do too much in the clips. She mostly looks contemplatively at herself in a mirror and seems totally lost in thought.

A wry smile creeps across her face, at one point, as if she’s recalling a pleasurable moment.

In a second video, Kristen sets a new standard for seductive fiddling. She fingers what looks like lip gloss, puts it on a vanity and picks up a compact case. That goes into her Chanel purse.

The camera zooms in. Kristen tilts the purse ever so much to give it a good camera angle. Then strokes it with her thumb as if to feel its richness.

Full disclosure: a calf sacrificed its skin to make it.

She snaps the clasp with authority like she might after gratifying sex. Kristen sits on the edge of vanity, staring wistfully into the room.

The camera fades to black.

The scenes play out while the late Gil-Scott Heron sings a moody blues tune, “I’ll Take Care Of You.”

I know you’ve been hurt by someone else
I can tell by the way you carry yourself
But if you let me, here’s what I’ll do
I’ll take care of you.

The song was written by Brook Benton and originally recorded by Bobby Bland in 1959.

The Chanel Métiers d’art Paris in Rome 2015/16 collection hit stores this month.
