Rob Kardashian is proud of his 60-pound weight loss as he prepares for his wedding to Blac Chyna.
Rob, who was a recluse for the past 3 years, posted an Instagram photo of his slimmed-down physique, and looks healthier than he has in a long time.
This is the first time Kardashian has posted a full-body photo since gaining 100 pounds in 2013. He has since been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
The 5-foot-10 Rob, who previously weighed over 300 pounds, has lost about 60 pounds during the past few months
Kardashian’s weight loss secrets were cardio exercise and a low-carb diet that excludes red meat and fast food, according to Celebrity Health Fitness.
Similarly, Rob’s sister, Kim Kardashian, lost 70 pounds with the low-carb Atkins diet, as TheImproper has reported.
Kim’s weight loss secrets was cardio exercise and the Atkins 40 diet, which limited her daily carb intake to 40 net grams.
Low carb, high-fat diets like the Atkins and ketogenic diets promote rapid weight loss by inducing the body to burn fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Mark Hyman, author of Eat Get, Get Thin.
Low carb diets also keep blood sugar levels stable, suppress appetite, and enhance mood, said Maria Emmerich, author of Quick and Easy Ketogenic Cooking.
Friends also credit Rob’s fiancee, Blac Chyna, for jump-starting his weight loss.
“[Rob] has really been taking care of himself,” said a source. “It really all is because of Blac Chyna.”
Rob also does cardio exercise at least 5 days a week, including walking on the StairMaster, which can burn more than 800 calories an hour for a man Rob’s size.
Kardashian can’t wait to get in shape for his wedding to Blac Chyna, who’s pregnant with their first baby.
Not only has Chyna helped him lose weight, but he’s happier in every way, as TheImproper has reported.
“I’m focused and determined to reach my goal weight 200-205 pounds,” Rob said on Instagram. “Happy I found my motivation.”
In true Kardashian fashion, Rob will chronicle his weight loss and relationship on his own reality TV show co-starring Blac Chyna. “Rob & Chyna” premieres on E! Sept. 11.
