19 Kids and Counting alum Jinger Duggar is engaged to former soccer player Jeremy Vuolo after just one month of dating, and is thrilled about her upcoming wedding.

The engagement update news just weeks before season 2 of the Duggars’ reality TV show, “Jill and Jessa: Counting On” premieres on Aug. 23.

Jim Bob and Michelle made the announcement on the Duggar family website, writing:

“What a joy for us to announce that Jeremy and Jinger are now engaged to be married!

Wow, where did the time go? Sweet little Jinger is now grown up and engaged! We are so happy for them both. Above all, we are so grateful for their love and commitment to Christ.

We are so excited about another Duggar wedding! We know that wonderful days are ahead for Jinger and Jeremy and we are looking forward to every moment! Our entire family rejoices!”

Jinger’s engagement and upcoming wedding provide a much-needed lifeline to the Duggars’ TV show, “Jill and Jessa,” which was almost canceled due to mediocre ratings.

Fortunately for the unemployed family members, wedding$ are great for TV rating$.

In true Duggar fashion, someone decided either to get pregnant or stage another wedding to ensure their reality TV gravy train continues. Jinger and Jeremy had announced they were officially courting in June 2016.

The 6-foot-3 Vuolo, a former professional soccer player, is an ordained minister and preacher’s son.

In 2008, Jeremy was arrested for harassing a police officer, as TheImproper has reported. Jeremy spent a night in jail, was fined $250, and said he learned from his mistakes.

Like Vuolo, the Duggars do not believe in premarital sex, as Jinger revealed in Growing Up Duggar.

19-kids-and-countingThe Duggar family’s hit show, 19 Kids and Counting, was canceled in July 2015 after 10 seasons amid news that Josh Duggar had sexually molested 5 underage girls — including 4 of his sisters — when he was 14 years old.

The cancellation of “19 Kids and Counting” was a major financial drain on the Duggars, who earned $25,000 to $45,000 per episode.

The Duggars have not been able to make for the lost income with other jobs, but with “Jill and Jessa,” the family has revived its TV money train.

Season 2 of “Jill and Jessa: Counting On” premieres on TLC Aug. 23.
