Chole Grace Moretz posted a hot photo on social media today (Aug. 7) from her upcoming Glamour UK feature. Only one problem; UK Model Cara Delevingne upstaged her. Cara wore the same outfit to the “Suicide Squad” London premiere last week. Talk about fashion faux pas!
Clueless celebrity Web sites like HollywoodLife gushed that the edgy ensemble “looked like it was made” for Cara.
Actually, Chloe, 19, wore it first!
Her magazine photo shoot likely took place weeks ago, even though she’s covering the upcoming September issue. It hits newsstands later this month.
So, who’s responsible for the major fashion faux pas?
Blame it on the designer, British label Alexander McQueen and Cara’s stylist (assuming she has one). Both should have known better.
The only thing worse is being caught on the red carpet in the same dress at the same time!
Cara, 23, wore the outfit to the European Premiere of “Suicide Squad” at the Odeon Leicester Square on August 3, 2016 in London. She obviously raised eyebrows (no pun intended, well maybe), but, then, she always does.
The ensemble included a sheer black lace dress coupled with a leather jacket. Her’s and Chloe’s have the same detailing. They both wore black hot pants under the sheer, see-through lace skirt.
They even accessorized the same. Both wore black, thigh-high Louboutin boots, smoky eye makeup and soft wavy hair.
“The blonde beauty showed off her eccentric sense of style by ditching the glam premiere gown for a more gothic vibe,” crowed London’s Daily Mail, calling it “her own style.”
Wait! Did they have the same stylist?
Stylists often dress elebrities for high profile events. The last thing they want is a dress that some other celebrity has worn.
Both Cara and Chloe are big enough stars to demand exclusivity from designers. It will be interesting to find out who dropped the ball on this.
Incidentally, Chloe is a hot property in UK gossip rags right now because she’s date Brooklyn Beckham, 17, son of soccer great David Beckham and fashion maven wife Victoria.
