Justin Theroux, the actor husband of Jennifer Aniston, called Angelina Jolie‘s divorce from Brad Pitt “horrible,” and slammed people who are gloating over their failed marriage.

Aniston was previously married to Pitt before Brad fell in love with Angelina on the set of their 2005 blockbuster, “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.”

While tabloids claimed Jennifer was gloating over the demise of Brangelina, Justin Theroux said he can only feel sympathy for Angelina and Brad, and empathy for their six children.

“As a child of divorce, all I can say is that’s terrible news for those children,” Theroux told Business Insider. “People are having a bad time. That’s horrible.”

Justin is shocked by the amount of negative attention Brangelina’s divorce has garnered, and is disgusted with the media’s vulture-like scrutiny of the superstar couple’s failed marriage.

“There’s an endless appetite for trash, apparently,” Theroux said. “But there are bigger things to b*tch about. It’s shocking how much bandwidth things can take up when there are far more important things going on in the world.”

Angelina shocked the world when she filed for divorce from Brad on Sept. 20 amid rumors he had cheated with French actress Marion Cotillard and had been abusive to their son Maddox on a recent plane ride.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt married in August 2014, but have been together since 2005. The couple has six children.

Angelina is seeking sole physical custody of the kids, while Brad wants joint custody. Jolie and Pitt signed a prenup, so there won’t be any nasty fights over their $400 million fortune.
