Kirsten Dunst’s latest movie is a moody, auto-erotic tale that drifts in and out of a hallucinogenic fog fueled by equal parts grief and psycho-active drugs. She captures that feel in two new photo spreads that showcase her exotic beauty.
Dunst, 35, has cornered the market on moody, erotic films beginning with her big-screen debut as a 12-year-old in 1994’s “Interview With a Vampire.”
She established herself as the queen of intensely psychological indie films with 2011’s “Melancholia,” a sci-fi drama written and directed by Lars von Trier.
Dunst followed that up in 2012 with “Upside Down,” a French-Canadian romantic fantasy written and directed by Juan Diego Solanas.
She starred opposite Jim Sturgess, who dwells in a parallel world. They fall in love even though it’s forbidden on her planet.
Dunst has also demonstrated her versatility in romantic comedies like “Bachelorette,” big box-office hits like “Spider-Man” and dramas like “Midnight Special” and “The Beguiled.”
To promote her latest film, She appears in the October issue of C magazine.
Kurt Iswarienko is behind the lens. Stylist Alison Edmond dresses Kirsten in a mix labels, including Saint Laurent, Gucci and Repossi.
Dunst also appeared in the September issue of Nylon magazine.
Check out the photos below and a trailer from her new film, which hit theaters over the weekend.
