Ellie Goulding was the poster girl for celebrities who landed cameo roles in the new Star Wars movie… until she wasn’t. Goulding along with other celebs ended up on the cutting room floor, but a bunch of other luminaries are in… if you can find them.
Goulding eagerly announced her appearance in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” on social media.
But after telling fans to look for her in the film, she said she’s now “feeling awkward” because her brief scene was cut.
“Has anybody seen Star Wars yet and seen someone who resembles me in it awkward if I got cut. Haha,” she wrote on social media.
“Either way it was a really awesome experience. Great to be in the rebel army for a day :)”
Ellie, however, wasn’t alone. Prince Williams and Prince Harry, whom she briefly dated, also shot scenes for the movie.
They appeared as storm troopers.
But lead star John Boyega, who plays Resistance fighter Finn, revealed that both British royals didn’t make it in the final theatrical version of the film.
Other celebs who say they filmed a cameo include singer Gary Barlow and “Mad Max: Fury Road” star Tom Hardy.
Fans claim they spotted late-night talk show host James Corden in the movie piloting an x-wing fighter in the movie’s opening scenes. Unfortunately, he’s craft is blown out of the sky.
Justin Theroux, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Noah Segan, Lily Cole and Warwick Davis also pop up in cameo roles, according to film sources.
The science fiction film set a record for the second-biggest Thursday night opening in North America last week.
The Disney-Lucasfilm picture opened with $45 million, just behind “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” It earned $57 million in 2015.
