Donald Trump leaves no slight unturned. Despite having the weight of the nation on his shoulders, the president is wasting his time in a Twitter feud with rapper Zay-Z. And, who said Trump doesn’t watch CNN.

The 41-year-old rapper was interviewed bt Van Jones on Saturday.

So what prompted Trump’s Twitter outburst?

Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, said he was “disappointed and hurt” by Trump’s alleged “shithole countries” comment.

He didn’t stop there.

Jay-Z also said it’s ‘not about money at the end of the day,” even if African-American employment is rising under Trump.

“Money doesn’t equate to happiness,” he said.

“That’s missing the point. Treat people like human beings. If we’re going back to ‘you treat me really bad but pay me well,’ that’s not going to lead to happiness, it’s going to lead to, like, the same thing… Everyone’s going to be sick,” he added.

More than likely Trump was offended because the rapper was denigrating money.

At 8:18 this morning, Trump Tweeted: “Somebody please inform Jay-Z that because of my policies, Black Unemployment has just been reported to be at the LOWEST RATE EVER RECORDED!”

The Associated Press reported that the black unemployment rate had reached a record low in December of 6.8 per cent, not counting those who have stopped looking for jobs.

While Trump’s claim is true, the decline in black unemployment has been underway since 2010, and the trend has continued into Trump’s first term.

The rate of black employment has not increased at a faster pace since Trump took office, evidence that nothing he has done has actually changed the unemployment rate for African Americans, according to economists.

“Trump has had nothing to do with the decline in African-American jobless rates, or any other group’s rates,” Jared Bernstein, a senior fellow at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, told Vox news.

The president spends so much time grinding an ax on Twitter, it’s a wonder he gets anything done, beside taking credit when it isn’t due.
