Kaia Gerber, caused an uproar when she posed for a highly sexualized Versace campaign at the tender age of 10. But, hey, that was ages ago. She’s 16 now and all woman in her latest fashion feature, even though she’s still jailbait in any number of states.
Kaia, daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, turned 16 just last September.
She poses for veteran fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in Love magazine.
She might have a hard time getting into the junior prom in the clothes she’s wearing, but there’s no question she’s inherited her mom’s stunning looks.
Back in the day (that would be 2012) Kaia was one of a handful of pre-teen and early-teen models posing for fashion shoots for a number of top designer brands.
The issue wasn’t so much their age; rather the girls were often tarted up in adult-style makeup and clothes, even though they were modeling childrens’ lines.
Coincidentally, Alas and Piggott were behind the lens for her Versace shoot.
Mom Cindy recoiled from the blast and vowed to keep Kaia off the runway until she was at least 17.
But you know that didn’t last. Kaia was back at work by the time she turned 13. She modeled in a much more modest shoot for Teen Vogue.
Last year, she was named one of Time magazine’s most influential teens alongside actress and activist Yara Shahidi.
At 5’9″ she’s runway perfect.
Last year, Kaia debuted on the catwalk in Raf Simons’ Calvin Klein Collection and also walked in Versace’s Spring/Summer 2018 campaign. Mom and Naomi Campbell were also featured.
She also walked in Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2018 show.
Kaia landed her first solo cover in Vogue Paris last month.
Incidentally Cindy, who rose to become one of the world’s top supermodels in the 1980s, started her own career at the age of 16.
