Jimmy Kimmel Oscars and Trump

Jimmy Kimmel couldn’t resist snapping back at Donald Trump’s Tweet about the Oscars’ television ratings. He schooled the president and reminded him that, hey, it’s not about you.

Trump apparently couldn’t wait to comment on the show. “Lowest rated Oscars in HISTORY. Problem is, we don’t have Stars anymore – except your President (just kidding, of course)!” he Tweeted at 8:25 am yesterday (Mar. 6)

Trump was right about the ratings but wrong about the reason.

“Trump loves saying the ratings are down, insinuating that is a show of some kind of support for him. But the truth is, every year since Netflix happened ratings are down for every big TV show, the Super Bowl, Grammys, Golden Globes,” he noted.

Since he hosted the Oscars, Kimmel said he felt responsible for Tweeting a response.

“Thanks, lowest rated president in history,” he wrote.

Kimmel noted that his Tweet got far more “likes” than the president’s, 547,000 to 182,777. No doubt illegal aliens piled on.

“Trump always has a problem with the Academy Awards, which is surprising because I really think he would love the best picture winner, ‘The Shape of Water,'” he quipped.

“The movie is about a monster that has sex with a woman who can’t talk about it. Basically, it’s like his life story.”

Kimmel was obviously referring to Trump’s latest sex scandal. He’s being sued by porn star Stormy Daniels, who had an affair with Trump from 2006 through 2007.

The talk show host also had a few words for Donald Trump Jr. Check out the video below.
