Donald Trump got the Jim Carrey treatment, again. The comedian created another caricature of the president to protest the National Football League’s (NFL) new policy to ban kneeling during the pre-game national anthem. Players can choose to stay in the locker room instead.

The policy has been widely criticized by players and others.

In a sampling of comments, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin called Trump an “idiot” for his comments. Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall called the president’s remarks “disgusting.”

More than 70 percent of NFL players are African-American.

Carrey zeroed in on Trump because the president repeatedly attacked San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, and later scores of other players, for kneeling silently during the anthem.

Kaepernick was protesting police violence against African-Americans, but Trump charged that the protest disrespected the flag, insulted veterans and was “unpatriotic.”

No other team picked up the stellar quarterback when he became a free agent and he’s been out of the league for two years.

Carrey posted his latest portrait on Twitter today.

“NFL — who exploits players for 3yrs then abandons them to a lifetime of pain — sided with a draft-dodging racist who uses fake patriotism to squash peaceful protest. Corporations shld rethink sponsoring moral cowardice before we start asking: whose side is Nationwide really on?” he wrote in a caption.

Despite widespread criticism of the league’s action, Trump doubled-down on his complaint.

“I don’t think people should be staying in the locker rooms, but still I think it’s good. You have to stand proudly for the national anthem. You shouldn’t be playing, you shouldn’t be there. Maybe they shouldn’t be in the country,” Trump said.
