Janet Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana, but last night on “The Tonight Show,” she could have been from the mythical land of Wakanda. She put on a stunning performance of her new song “Made For Now,” with a crew of backup dancers in traditional African garb.

Now we know where Beyonce got all her moves.

Jimmy Fallon was over-the-top ecstatic to announce the performance, which marks the beginning of Jackson’s comeback.

The 52-year-old singer married Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana in 2012 and gave birth to a son, Eissa Al Mana in 2016. In April a year ago, the couple separated.

In May, Jackson revealed she was working on new music. She released her first single, “Made for Now, a collaboration with Daddy Yankee, this week.

Jackson, who reportedly gained 70 pounds during her pregnancy, was sizzling in Wakanda style African garb. She also showed off some of the dance moves that made her a super-star attraction.

The performance opened with drummers in colorful garb performing in the studio aisles. Jackson appeared in a close up sitting in a high-backed wicker chair.

Her dance moves were sharp. She was surrounded by dancers who were likely half her age.

Today (Aug. 18) Janet was spotted filming a music video on a Manhattan rooftop and posted a photo on Instagram. “Are u ready for our Harlem Week block party?” she wrote.

Jackson, the sister of the late pop-icon Michael Jackson, has sold more than 100 million records in her own right.
