Steve Carell returned for his third guest host appearance on “Saturday Night Live” and found out just how much ex-cast members would like to see a reboot of his hit television comedy “The Office.” Ain’t happening.

Carell came out and started his opening monologue, but before he could get rolling, the questions started coming.

Former “Office” cast members Ellie Kemper, Ed Helms and Jenna Fischer all popped up with the same question. How cool would it be to reboot the show.

Even Kenan Thompson stood up–as himself–and said it would be a good idea to reboot the show, which ran for eight years.

“People would really love to see an ‘Office’ reboot,” said former cast member Kemper. Toward the end of season five, Ellie’s character, Erin Hannon, joined the show as a replacement on the reception desk.

But Steve was having none of it. Finally, his wife Nancy and children, Elizabeth, 17, and John, 14, told him to give it another go.
