Mike “The Situation” Sorentino, Snooki, Pauly D, JWoWW, Ronnie and Vinnie are back for season three of “Jersey Shore,” the unexplainablely popular MTV reality show that has made stars of its cast and introduced the nation to fist pumps, big hair, big breasts and crass behavior.
MTV released a new trailer of the upcoming season and the gang promises to deliver plenty of antics.
In reality television, bad behavior is ratings gold, and the happy crew can’t seem to avoid screaming matches, bar fights and misdemeanor arrests.
In fact, the cast is reportedly looking for another pay raise after last year’s contentious contract negotiations. Snooki, Pauly D and the rest—are about to renegotiate their contracts with MTV.
“The cast are all about to start talks for a new season. Producers want to film in Miami again next spring, and they want to lock the cast down now,” a source told the New York Post.
The cast received a huge pay bump in July after going on strike while filming last season. Cast members are now reportedly pulling down $30,000 per episode.
But the real reality money is in spinoffs. The Jersey cast may be louts, but they’re getting good advice.
“The problem is that most of them plan to demand their own spinoff show as part of the deal, as well as a large raise on their current pay,” the source said.
