Ryan Reynolds, Scarlett Johansson Split; A Bitter Undercurrent? 1Ryan Reynolds has officially filed for divorce from Scarlett Johansson, and the “love and kindness” they talked about when they split may be the first victim of the legal proceedings.

Reynolds, 34, filed the requisite papers in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday (Dec. 23), according to People magazine.

The move follows confirmation earlier this month that the relationship was over just two years after they married.

“We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it,” they said in a joint statement.
But  Reynolds was definitely upset about Johansson 26, and made no effort to hide it on the set of his new film “The Green Lantern,” Us Weekly reported citing an insider.

Reynolds reportedly complained that Johansson “treated him badly,” the source said. “It never seemed like she made him a priority.”

Conflicting schedules, long periods apart and perhaps professional jealousy proved too much for the marriage, all too often sources of conflict in Hollywood unions.

Johansson “began seeing a therapist” two months ago in Manhattan to deal with her marital issues, another source said.

Unable to “hash it out,” the actress told Reynolds she wanted a divorce last month, the source said. Reynolds wanted to “avoid it at all costs,” so the couple agreed to a two-week trial separation. But they failed to heal the rift.

The break up was also dogged by rumors of an affair between Reynolds and his Green Lantern co-star Blake Lively.

Celebrity Web site E! Online sparked speculation that the Reynolds and Lively had a “locationship,” the commonly used term to describe an affair between two stars while filming a picture.

But there is no evidence to support the claim, and several purported insiders have said infidelity is not an issue in the split.

Instead a growing disaffection between the two seems to be the cause.

Johansson appeared to have already moved on, while Reynolds was said to be “beyond sad and depressed.”

The duo reunited for a “friendly meal” at Blue Ribbon restaurant in New York last week, and were “smiling and laughing,” according to People.

But judging by Reynolds’ latest move, reconciliation wasn’t on the menu.
