Kim Kardashian to Katie Kouric: I'm Bigger Than the Tabloids 1Kim Kardashian is interviewed by CBS News anchorwoman Katie Kouric, no less, for the upcoming issue of Glamour magazine, and Kouric officially pronounces the reality TV star humble and dare she say… normal?

If that’s not getting a stamp of approval what is? Although why Kouric needs a side job interviewing celebrities for a fashion magazine is beyond anyone’s guess.

Perhaps, she’s gearing up for her own celebrity style television show, akin to Oprah, now that the first lady of daytime television has launched her own network.

Kouric has been rumored to be leaving the anchor chair almost since the day she sat down.

Here’s what she was able to elicit from Kim, who is a one-woman marketing phenomenon with no discernible talent.

“Today Kim has a full-fledged fashion empire, including boutiques across the country; clothing, jewelry and fragrance lines; and numerous endorsements. And she makes heads turn everywhere, even in the CBS newsroom!” Kouric gushes.

Kardashian attributes her success to her “normalcy” amid the glamor of he California lifestyle, which at first attracted interest in her reality show “Keeping up with the Kardashians,” she said.

“We [are] a lot more normal and relatable than they had assumed. We might be spoiled in some people’s eyes, but we are not brats. I get letters from little girls begging me to adopt them,” Kim says. “We work really hard, and we fight like normal sisters fight, and we make up.”

Kim lets it be known that she is single right now and explains how hard it is to date, with the cameras ever present.

“It’s easier to just be single and not have a relationship. How do you get to know someone on a reality show? Some people think that they can handle it, and then they really can’t.”

And, she thinks her sexuality is overrated.

“I don’t find myself as sexy as everyone thinks. I’m a lot more insecure than people would assume, but with little stupid things. When I get dressed, I’m always so indecisive,” she says.

But she said she couldn’t turn down an offer to pose nude in Playboy because Hugh Hefner asked her personally.

“It was an independence thing for me. I was always by the book, such the straight arrow when it came to pleasing my parents and being a good daughter.

“I felt like this was one decision that only I could make. And I think it looks great. I’ll have those pictures forever.”

Kim says she would be totally okay if all the fame and attention went away tomorrow.

“Absolutely. I swear!” she says.

“I think I’m really at the point now where I feel I’ve done so much that I’m OK with not having that attention. Sometimes it’s overbearing.

“I used to think that I would never feel this way. Before, we used to buy all the tabloids and see if we were in them,” she adds.

“Now I don’t even buy [the tabloids].”
