“Twilight” superstar Robert Pattinson, “True Grit” actor Matt Damon and American Idol Judge Jennifer Lopez will be among the presenters when the 68th annual Golden Globes airs on television just over a week from now.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association made the announcement today (Jan 4) via Twitter.
The event will be held Jan. 16 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. “Office” creator Ricky Gervais will host the show live at 8 p.m. (Eastern).
The nominations were announced back in December by Katie Holmes, Blair Underwood and Josh Duhamel.
Rob should be well rested after his New Year’s holiday with girlfriend Kristen Stewart on the Isle of Wright, in Great Britain.
The Twilight duo was largely able to avoid mobs of photographers and fans for a few quiet nights out.
The association did not say what category Pattinson or Lopez will present, but Damon will present the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime-achievement award to Robert De Niro.
The annual event recognizes achievements in both television and film, and is the first of several awards shows leading up to the Academy Awards. It usually draws all of A-List Hollywood.
Among the leading nominees this year are “The King’s Speech,” starring Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter, with seven nods, “Black Swan” starring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, and “The Social Network,” a movie about Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie were the surprise nominees for the “The Tourist,” which received lukewarm reviews and bombed at the box office.
“Burlesque,” another box office bomb starring Christina Aguilera and Cher , was nominated for Best Motion Picture in the comedy/musical category, and also got a songwriting nod for the tune “Bound” that Aguilera co-wrote with Sia Furler.
