But Twilight was still well represented among winners by Kristen Stewart and “Twilight Saga Eclipse.”

Kristen won for favorite movie actress, Eclipse won favorite movie and the trio of Rob, Kristen and Taylor Lautner won for favorite movie dream team.

“Thank you so much, I’ve never been to the People’s Choice awards before,” Stewart nervously offered.

“I was a vampire this morning in Baton Rouge, so this is really weird,” she added.

Rob interjected that all three flew by “posh” private jet from Baton Rouge, La., where they are filming the next “Twilight” installments, Breaking Dawn, Part I and II.

Other big winners included singer Katy Perry, Eminem, Usher, and Selena Gomez & The Scene for favorite breakout artist.

Conan O’Brien also got welcome recognition as favorite TV host, topping heavyweights like Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres. His show is no on cable.

“I want to thank everyone who made what could have been a horrible year into the best year of my life,” O’Brien said, a reference to his untimely departure from NBC’s “Tonight Show.”

A record 175 million votes were cast over social media sites and Internet in the only entertainment awards show chosen by viewers, according to the organizers. The awards covered television, movies and music.

Although Pattinson did not win the two top acting awards, Twilight fans still had a lot to celebrate. “Eclipse” won favorite movie and favorite movie drama.

“I can’t believe this. You guys are unreal! For movie No. 3 already?” said “Twilight’s” Lautner.

And, Stewart aced out A-List actresses Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie and Julia Roberts to win favorite movie actress.

For “Alice in Wonderland” star Depp it was his second consecutive favorite movie actor award.

Another star notably absent from the winner’s stand was Lady Gaga.

Although nominated in three categories, she was topped for female artist by Perry, and favorite song by Eminem featuring Rihanna (Love The Way You Lie).

Rihanna also bested her for favorite pop artist, although Rihanna is more R&B than pop.

Many of the other awards were fairly predictable.

Fox musical comedy “Glee” and its scheming cheerleader played by Jane Lynch, won awards as did medical drama “House.”

The remake of “Hawaii Five-O” and the Twitter inspired comedy “$#*! (Bleep) My Dad Says” won for favorite new TV shows.

Taylor Swift continued to dominate country. She won best country artist after a big year. Her “Speak Now” album was one of the biggest sellers of 2010,

Sir Elton John, a new parent with his partner David Furnish, presented the award. “Elton! Congrats to you! You’re a dad now,” Swift gushed.

Also in the music category, Paramour was a surprise winner for best rock band, besting Daughtry, Linkin Park, Maroon 5 and Nickelback.
