Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes may boycott The Oscars ceremonies because they haven’t gotten over Oscar host Anne Hathaway’s scathing parody of Katie on “Saturday Night Live.”

It hard seems possible since Tom is such a fan of parody, but London’s Daily Mail reports that Cruise and Holmes want to avoid any awkward red carpet confrontation with Hathaway.

“Tom and Katie don’t want to have to cross paths with Anne,” a Hollywood source told the newspaper.

“They used to be friends and took Anne to a Tina Turner concert in 2008 when Anne split up from her boyfriend Raffaello Follieri.

“Katie feels they were really supportive at a difficult time so she feels let down that Anne took to national TV to make fun of her,” the source claims.

The Hollywood A-List couple are also supposedly miffed because Anne never warned them she was doing the skit, which aired in November.

Of course, it could be also because neither Cruise nor Holmes are likely to be nominated for any awards this year.

In any event, Anne’s impersonation of Holmes as she was being interviewed by “Miley Cyrus” in the skit was perhaps, a little too on.

She had Katie’s mannerisms down cold, complete with hair twisting and flipping.

The portrayal was described as “intense yet vapid.”

“The whole thing has left a sour taste with Tom,” adds the source.

A spokesman for Cruise told the newspaper that neither Tom nor Katie has committed too attend the Oscars yet… because of “shooting schedules.”

Talk about thin skinned.
