Britney Spears Drops Femme Fatale Album Cover (see it) 1Britney Spears signaled the direction of her new album today (Feb. 2) by releasing the cover art work and name Femme Fatale. Who knew? Brit has been playing the seductress for years.

Spears took to Twitter to release a photo of the cover, her seventh studio album, which is remarkably like her cover for the single “Hold It Against Me.” She’s ramping up the sexuality to keep up with the competition.

Spears is currently working on a video for the song, which she refers to in Twitter as HIAM.

Last week, she also released a screen shot from the video, which looks to be highly produced. Jonas Åkerlund shot the video.

“I’ve poured my heart and soul into this album over the last 2 years. I’ve put everything I have into it. This album is for you, my fans, who have always supported me and have stuck by me every step of the way! I love you all!” she wrote on Twitter.

“Sexy and Strong. Dangerous yet mysterious. Cool yet confident!” she Tweeted.

The album is described in a press release as “a tribute to bold, empowered, confident, elusive, fun, flirty women and men.

“It’s not a conceptual album, Spears is letting the music speak for itself,” it says.

Spears “considers it to be her best album to date, true to where she is now personally and professionally,” the statement added.

It is her seventh studio album, executive produced by Max Martin and Dr. Luke.
