Mike the Situation: I'm Like Michael Jordan, Yo 1Jersey Shore star Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino is tired of “ruling” reality tv and wants to move on to take over the movie biz.

“Hopefully by the end of the year I’ll be in a movie,” Sorrentino told E! Feb. 4. 2011. “There’s only so long you can rule the reality world.

“It’s like Michael Jordan. There’s only so long you can keep winning them rings.”

Before Sorrentino became famous in 2009 for starring in the Jersey Shore, he was an assistant gym manager in Staten Island, N.Y., who earned $35,000 a year.

Thanks to his reality tv fame, the Situation made a whopping $5 million in 2010 from his various endorsements, which includes an exercise video, vitamin supplements, a protein-spiked vokda and a clothing line.

Despite the super-competitive nature of the film business, Sorrentino is confident he has what it takes to become a movie star.

“Maybe another year or so of reality, and then I’m gonna graduate to movies,” says the Situation, 28. “You gotta move on and try something different.

“I love to be in front of the camera; I love performing; I love entertaining, so movies is definitely the next step.”
