Lady Gaga is in full promotion mode for her new album Born This Way with a racy Terry Anderson photo shoot for French magazine Purple, the release of her Vogue cover and causing general mayhem in New York City.
Gaga stripped down to a tee shirt for skateboard store Supreme in New York, and posed naked with a skateboard strategically placed to hide her privates.
Gaga was all touchy feely in a behind the scenes video.
In New York, Gaga hit Madison Square Garden as part of her Monster Ball tour Monday night (Feb. 21). Footage from the concert will be included in her HBO special.
Gaga had plenty of shoutouts for New York, her hometown.
“New York City, did you guys come to party tonight?” she asked as she appeared. “The Monster Ball will set you free.”
“My name is Lady Gaga, and I was born and raised in the unbreakable streets of New York City,” she said.
“Thank you so much. Tonight, I want you to forget all of your insecurities because I didn’t used to be brave but you have made me brave, little monsters.”
“And God bless the New York Fire Department: They told me I couldn’t light my piano on fire,” she said.
Gaga released the single “Born This Way” last week and sold more than one million downloads in five days. It hit No. 1 on the iTunes chart in 23 countries.
Her album hits the streets May 23.
