Cameron Diaz wasn’t No. 1 in Maxim magazine’s Hot 100 list, but she should have been. She’s not only sexy, uninhibited and free-spirited, she doesn’t think twice about flicking off Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez.

Diaz tells the magazine she loves jumping into bed with Rodriguez, but doesn’t see the need to jump into a marriage with him.

“I think we have to make our own rules. I don’t think we should live our lives in relationships based off of old traditions that don’t suit our world any longer,” she says.

But A-Rod shouldn’t take her words personally. It’s just that she thinks the institution of marriage is dead.

She does, however, have some advice for couples.

“One should dry-hump as much as possible,” Diaz insisted. “It leads to great things. I’d prescribe at least once per day.

“What’s also nice about dry humping is that it can happen anywhere,” she said.

Diaz has kept true to her word, at least, as far as marriage is concerned.

She dated actor Matt Dillon in 1995, her co-star in “There’s Something About Mary.”

It ended in 1998 and she bounced to Jared Leto, from 1999 to 2003, and dated Justin Timberlake from 2003 to 2006. She’s been dating Rodriguez since last July, making it one of his more enduring relationships since his divorce.

Diaz is starring in a new film, “Bad Teacher,” a comedy in which she plays a pot-smoking, sex-starved middle school teacher who swears like a sailor.

She sets out to seduce a substitute teacher after learning that he is rich.

The film also stars ex-boyfriend Timberlake, Molly Shannon, Eric Stonestreet and Jason Segel.

The film will hit theaters June 24.
