Playboy playmate Crystal Harris blew off iconic magazine founder Hugh Hefner just days before her marriage, but not in time to prevent Playboy from putting her on the cover of its upcoming issue as… Mrs. Hefner!

In what is sure to become a collector’s item, Harris adorns the cover of the July issue.

Her photo spread is teased with the headline “America’s Princess: Introducing Mrs. Crystal Hefner.”

But it was not to be. Harris called off the Saturday (June 18) wedding. After all, Hefner is 60 years her senior.

But that wasn’t the real reason, according to Harris.

“For a while, I’d been having second thoughts about everything, so I haven’t really been at peace with myself lately,” she, told Ryan Seacrest today (June 15) on his Los Angeles radio show. “It was all just happening too fast for me.”

“I just sat back and thought about it all,” she continued. “Is this what I wanted? And it wasn’t.”

TMZ broke the news yesterday that the lavish Playboy Mansion wedding was off.

Crystal quickly move out of the famous estate amid reports that the couple had a “nasty argument.” But the decision was mutual and calmly arrived at.

“It was mutual between Hef and I,” said Crystal, who has been dating Hef nearly two-and-a-half years. “There was no fight, we sat down and we talked about it.”

“There was no fight,” said the cover girl.

“He understood, and we both agreed that it wasn’t the best idea to get married. He was doing it for me because he thought it was what I wanted.”

Harris, who says she “wanted to be true to myself,” admits, “This isn’t the lifestyle for me.”

Harris denied seeing someone else and said she plans to concentrate on her music career.

Crystal also released her debut song “Club Queen” yesterday (June 14).

“We were both kind of relieved,” she said.
