Beyoncé rocked the Glastonbury Festival with a 90-minute set that was pure energy. The fans showed their appreciation with sustained cheers, causing the former Destiny’s Child singer to get emotional at times.

“You are witnessing my dream! Thank you for having me and my band tonight. I always wanted to be a rock star and tonight we are all rock stars,” she shouted out to the crowd.

She was the first female to headline the festival in more than 20 years, so there was some pressure to bring the house down.

Plus, the festival has been traditionally rock oriented and the choice of Beyoncé to close the event produced some grumbling in the UK.

But Beyoncé did not disappoint.

She dazzled in black hotpants with a gold belted jacket and platform shoes with five-inch heels that made her legs seem go to on for a mile. Her hair looked electrified.

She was accompanied by an all-girl band, and covered the waterfront in her set.

She sang tunes from here Destiny days, as well as Etta James’s “At Last,” Kings Of Leon’s “Sex On Fire” and Alanis Morrisette’s “You Oughta Know.”

Her other tracks included “Crazy In Love” and “Single Ladies.” She sang the former to fireworks but on the latter she provided her own fireworks with a high-energy dance routine.

She continued with “If I Were A Boy,” “Independent Women,” “Bootylicious” and “Survivor” as well as new single “Who Run The World (Girls)”

She closed with the anthem “Halo,” ending the three-day bash last night. Check her out below.
