Anne Hathaway, thankfully, hasn’t looked back since her neer-do-well boyfriend was jailed in 2008. She has a hot career and a serious boyfriend, the actor Adam Shulman. Can it get any better?
Hathaway thinks not, according to a new interview in the UK edition of Marie Claire magazine.
“Adam totally ruined my plan. I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time and then I fall in love like a fool,” she said. “Yes, three years. It’s serious!”
With a new movie in the wings, “One Day” based on the David Nicholls novel, and another underway– she plays catwoman in “The Dark Knight Rises,” Hathaway is a solid A-List actress.

But things weren’t quite so swimming not too long ago. She was crushed after ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri was imprisoned back in 2008.
Hathway stuck by the cad until the very end even though friends warned her he was a snake.
Although she joked about his arrest on “Saturday Night Live” and The Late Show with David Letterman, she was hurting inside.
“That was how I got through my pain. I wrote funny songs about it. That’s always been the way I deal with things. You make a joke of it,” she explained.
In her new movie, she plays Emma Morley who begins a friendship with Dexter Mayhew (Jim Sturgess) as they both graduate from the University of Edinburgh.
Morely has a working class background while Mayhew is a wealthy playboy, yet the hit it off. Hathaway is passionate about her character.
“I’ve never been so nervous about playing anyone as I was to play Emma.
There were many reasons to say no to this part. One, because I didn’t think I could pull it off. Two, I was very nervous about the Yorkshire accent.” she said.
