Chloe Moretz from “Kick-Ass,” Miranda Cosgrove, from “iCarly,” Alia Shawkat from “Arrested Development” and Tyler Posey from “Teen Wolf” are showcased in a new music video directed by Drew Barrymore.

Barrymore, 35, who rose to stardom as a child actress, puts the spotlight on Young Hollywood in this ensemble short film, or what’s being billed as a “Super Video.”

The video features Best Coast’s song “Our Deal,” and premiered on MTV today (Aug. 2).

The track is so-so, the video’s premise is cliched– a take on “Romeo and Juliet” set against two rival groups of graffiti artists.

But taken as a whole, it provides an interesting glimpse of rising Young Hollywood, much like previous full-length films such as “The Breakfast Club” in the 1980s and “The Lords of Flatbush,” in the 1970s.

The John Hughes coming-of-age picture helped launch the careers of Emilio Estevez, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy and Anthony Michael Hall.

In the 1970s, “The Lords of Flatbush,” showcased then-young stars Henry Winkler and Sylvester Stallone and Susan Blakely.

Moretz is 14, while Posey is 19. Oops, might be some statutory problems with that match up; they are cast as the romantic leads.
