“Glee’s” Lea Michele steps up to the big screen in ensemble movie “New Years Eve,” and a new trailer shows her with rocker Jon Bon Jovi and getting hot over Ashton Kutcher.
Lea makes her feature film debut with an all-star cast that includes such luminaries as Jessica Biel, Sarah Jessica Parker, Zac Efron, Katherine Heigl, Halle Berry, Hilary Swank, Robert De Niro, and Michelle Pfeiffer.
In all, 30 celebrities will make appearances in the movie.
Director Garry Marshall intertwines the characters’ stories leading up to midnight on New Year’s Eve.
If the plot sounds familiar, Marshall also directed last year’s ensemble comedy Valentine’s Day which also starred Kutcher, Biel, Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift.
But the movies are not sequels. Kutcher and Biel play different characters.
Michele, 24, plays a back up singer in a band led by frontman Jensen (Bon Jovi). She tries to convince friend Randy (Kutcher) to kick a New Year’s Eve funk.
The film revolves around Biel who plays a pregnant woman whose goes into labor on New Year’s Eve. Biel’s partner is played by Seth Meyers.
Pfeiffer plays as a frustrated secretary who crosses paths with Efron’s bike messenger boy.
Zac’s character Paul then aides Ingrid with helping to tackle her unfulfilled resolutions.
Sarah Jessica Parker plays the mother Hailey, (Abigail Breslin), who are trying to work out mother-daughter issues.
The film is scheduled for release in December by Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema.
