Jennifer Aniston’s whirlwind romance with Justin Theroux has touched off sniping and second guessing in the tabloids amid concern that Jen might be heading for another big let down.
Jen, 42, and Justin have been inseparable recentlyl with reports claiming that Jen is ready to marry, again, and even have a baby.
“This is the guy she wants to grow old with,” said a friend. “She is head over heels in love with him.”
But Theroux has a bad reputation for being commitment-phobic and too independent.
“Justin will never marry her,” a close friend told InTouch Weekly magazine, not always the most solid source for accurate reporting.
“He’s not the marrying type; as you can see from the 14-year relationship he was in that didn’t end in marriage.”
Some reports claim he was still involved with ex-girlfriend Heidi Bivens while he was seeing Jen.
If true, that would have to make Aniston uncomfortable. She once complained that Angelina Jolie moved in on Brad Pitt, while he was still married to her.
Much of the behind-the-scenes sniping may be coming from Bivens’ friends and allies. Their break up was bitter.
“He totally lied to Heidi and broke her heart,” musician Craig Wedren, a friend of Theroux and Bivens told the magazine.
Others worry that Jen is the complete opposite of Justin.
“She’s all about Malibu and shopping and trying to stay young while Justin is about being an artist,” a source said.
Justin turned down a role in the hit show “Friends,” which launched Aniston’s career.
“The last place Jen would want to go in New York would be a dive bar,” said the friend.
Justin, on the other hand, is a dive bar denizen.
