Kristen Stewart has traded her soft introverted role in “Twilight” for a medieval-looking armor-plated heroine in new photos from the set of “Snow White and the Huntsman.”
In new photos released from the set, she wears a suit of armor for the re-imagining of the fairy tale.
The first movie stills of her in character were released in July 23 at Comic Con showing Stewart as a much darker Snow White, if you can believe it.
They also pictured her suited up in armor, and the latest candid photos from the set mirror that look.

Kristen Stewart will play a much darker Snow White than the Disney classic.
Snow White is best known as a fairy tale princess, thanks to the classic Disney animated film. But “Snow White and the Huntsman,” will have more of a medieval, middle-earth look reminiscent of “Lord of the Rings.”
Charlize Theron looks absolutely bewitching as the evil Queen.
Sam Claflin, best known for his role in “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” looks like he just walked off the set of the 1981 fantasy film “Excalibur,” as Prince Charmant.
Chris Hemsworth, who plays the huntsman, sports a grimy peasant look.
He’s sent by the evil queen to perform a dirty deed; bring back the heart of Snow White. But instead, he falls for her and trains her how to fight.
The story will be a far cry from Disney. Snow White escapes from the Evil Queen’s jail and she and the Huntsman go to war against her.
The movie is expected to be action-packed.
“It’s not a little girl sitting by a well with tweety birds telling her what’s going on,” Stewart said in a recent interview.
