Mischa Barton (memba’ her?) is the latest Hollywood has-been to be resurrected by photographer Tyler Shields, who has become the patron saint of wayward actresses.
Shields has worked most famously with hot mess Lindsay Lohan, as well as “Glee” bad girls Dianna Agron and Alex Pettyfer and starlet Hayden Panettiere.
Barton, 25, is best known for her role as Marissa Cooper in the television series “The O.C.” But several not-so-flattering brushes with paparazzi and the law have tarnished her halo.

Mischa Barton snacks on some choice meat for Tyler Shields. Say what you will, she’s as hot as ever.
Barton was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, and driving without a valid license in Dec. 2007.
While she publicly took responsibility for her actions, she was briefly confined against he will in a mental institution for bizarre behavior that she later attributed to a tooth infection.
Things have been a little rough lately for the starlet. She was sued last year for falling three-months behind on the $7,000-a-month rent for her New York apartment.
Oddly, Barton has a pretty solid acting resume. She graduated from the Professional Children’s School in Manhattan in 2004, studied at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and worked in theater.
Her film work since 2007 has largely gone straight to DVD. But she’s appearing in four new films in post production, including one with Martin Sheen, Two are heading straight to DVD as well.
In the photo shoot, Shields has fun with Barton and a big slab of red meat.
The shoot is described as “naked, lipsticked, and icily coiffed like a Duran Duran-era object of desire.”
Shields says he and Barton came together after he was emailed persistently by a fan club in Brazil to shoot her.
“I randomly met her friend and we talked about it. A few days later this happened,” he says. “She was amazing to work with. I cant wait to do it again.”
Tyler Shields has been exhibiting with UK-based artist Maximilian Wiedemann at Imitate Modern in London since mid-October. The Barton photos be shown starting Wednesday (Oct. 12). The show runs through Nov. 13.
