Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart Joined by 30 New Vampires (watch!) 1

When Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart face off as Bella and Edward against the Volturi in “Breaking Dawn, Part 2,” they will be joined by 30 new vampires, each backed by their own coven and sporting unique powers.

The vampire clans are summoned by Edward and the rest of the Cullens to protect half-human, half-vampire daughter Renesmee and hopefully convince the ruling clan she was born and not bitten.

Rob jumps in his Volvo and takes off for the far reaches of Alaska in one scene. Sure, he could have gotten there faster using his vampire powers, but every movie these days seems to bow to product placement.

In any event, the showdown draws vampires from all over the world. Here’s a quick rundown of who’s who. If you’ve read the book you already know. If you haven’t meet the new vampires who will descend on Forks. You may remember some of them from Bella’s wedding!

Denali Coven: Like the Cullens, the coven drinks only animal blood instead of human blood. They are cousins of the Cullens, and made an appearance in “Eclipse” when Victoria and her army of newborns was seeking revenge against the werewolves. Among the Denalis, MyAnna Buring is Tanya, Christian Camargo is Eleazar, Maggie Grace played Irina, Mía Maestro is Carmen, Casey LaBow is Kate, and Lee Pace is Garrett. Andrea Powell will play Sasha.

Amazon Coven: Mostly from the jungles of Brazil, Zafrina, Senna, and Kachiri are the principal members of the Amazon coven. Judi Shekoni will play Zafrina and Tracey Heggins will play Senna. Zafrina has the power to create a protective shield while everyone outside her shield are subject to her illusions. She develops a strong friendship with Bella and Renesmee.

Egyptian Coven: The coven members include Rami Malek as Benjamin, Omar Metwally as Amun, Angela Sarafyan as Tia, and Andrea Gabriel as Kebi. The coven is on the fence about the Cullen’s war with the Volturi. Amun and Kebi want nothing to do with it. But Benjamin and Tia are in, largely because Benjamin’s power is a heightened sense of right and wrong. He also has the power to control elements of nature.

Irish Coven: The coven will be made up of Marlane Barnes as Maggie, Lisa Howard as Siobhan and Patrick Brennan as Liam. Maggie has the special ability to tell if someone is lying, while Siobhan has the power to alter events through sheer willpower.

Romanian Coven: Noel Fisher plays Vladimir and Guri Weinberg plays Stefan; they are the sole survivors of a war with the Volturi that ousted the Romanian clan from power a mere 1,500 years ago. They’ve held a grudge ever since and hope to see the Volturi get their comeuppance in the battle with the Cullens.

European Nomads: Not really a coven but more like a loose confederation, Alistair, Charles and Makenna make up the European nomads. Carlisle Cullen is a close friend of Alistair, who will be played by British actor Joe Anderson.

American Nomads: Peter played by Erik Odom, Charlotte played by Valorie Curry, Mary played by Toni Trucks and Randall, played by Bill Tangradi, make up the nomads. Jasper once lived with them, but left because the nomads feed on human blood. But they make strong allies for the Cullens.
