The photos surfaced on gossip site TMZ and were taken one day after photographer Chris Guerra was struck and killed by a car. He was photographing Bieber’s Ferrari, while it was pulled over by police.
Guerra told a friend he thought he saw Bieber smoking a marijuana pipe in his car earlier in the day. When he saw the conspicuous car leaving the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills he followed it.
Behind the wheel, however, was Bieber’s pal Christopher Moore, also known as rapper Lil Twist.
The teen sensation’s reps heatedly denied that Bieber was smoking pot, and accused the dead paparazzi of harassing and stalking the singer. Bieber expressed his condolences, but was photographed at the party laughing and holding an obvious marijuana “blunt” in his hand.
Bieber finally took to Twitter to make a statement. “Everyday growing and learning. trying to be better. u get knocked down, u get up,” he wrote.
Then he changed the subject: “back on tour tomorrow. ready to see u all smile. time to do what im supposed to be doing. performing. #BELIEVEtour” he added.
“i see all of u. i hear all of u. i never want to let any of you down. i love u. and..thank u. #beliebers, like i said…2013… new challenges. new doubters…Im ready. We are ready. see u all tomorrow and everyday after that. #BELIEVEtour”
